BIG-TC / NAWIC MSP Joint Event

A huge thank you to all who attended the joint NAWIC/BIG “Together We Rise” event on Monday, March 3rd.  An all-woman all-star panel discussion hosted at Dunwoody College of Technology, the event was a complex discussion of the building industry’s past, present, and future of “going smart.” 

Led by BIG-TC and NAWIC-MSP’s very own Robbie Danko, the conversation covered various aspects of design-build project delivery, holistic data approaches, and areas for new construction trade opportunities.  Hailing from several different industries connected to the future of intelligent buildings, the panelists, Amanda Edwards, Brittany Jaramillo, Claire Rung, and Monique Lundquist all showed why their diverse knowledge sets are required in defining the digital future of buildings.  Their experience, human centric approach, and real-world use cases prompted great conversations with the attendees, making the experience even more impactful. 

The interactions between the moderator, panelists, and those in attendance underlined the necessity to have as many diverse, strong, and knowledgeable voices at the table.  While no one may have walked out with a singular answer of what “Intelligent Buildings” are, the connections made by having the question posed to such strong industry experts seems to have resulted in a great outcome.
